Det-Tronics introduces explosion-proof smoke detector that mounts on ductwork

The Q5016 Duct Mount Accessory, designed for use with the Det-Tronics SmokeWatch U5015 Explosion-Proof Smoke Detector, provides a means of installing the smoke detector onto the exterior of duct walls for air-handling duct monitoring applications. The Q5016 senses differential pressure between the inlet and outlet tubes to drive a continuous air sample through the SmokeWatch measurement chamber.

Like the photoelectric U5015 smoke detector, the mounting accessory features a rugged design with hardened aluminum packaging suitable for extreme environments and hazardous applications. The detector operates effectively in both smoldering and rapidly growing fires, is suitable for hazardous applications requiring IP 44 ingress protection and is certified to FM 3230.
