Plant Services delivers powerful content to an industry hungry for the latest practical information on technology, leadership, and asset management across industry, plus breaking manufacturing news and market/workforce trends from tens of thousands of facilities across the U.S. and beyond.
Our mission is simple – to deliver smart solutions that promote safe, sustainable plant maintenance and operations. Content ranging from articles, webinars, podcasts and research reports all focus on how products and equipment are used to drive energy efficiency, workstream effectiveness, and asset uptime.
Plant Services maintains unique partnerships with key industry experts (such as Joe Anderson, Joe Kuhn, Doc Palmer, and Jeff Shiver) and leading professional associations (including EASA, ICML, and Compressed Air Challenge), to ensure that our content is informed by deep industry insight.
Plant Services also is very proud to partner with the University of Tennessee’s Reliability and Maintainability Center on the Reliability of Everything™ Culture Improvement Awards. These awards recognize people from real-world plant environments who have worked hard to make a difference in improving culture and operations, maximizing the use of asset data and engaging workers at all levels.

Meet the Plant Services Team
Thomas Wilk
Editor in Chief
Thomas Wilk joined Plant Services as editor in chief in 2014. Previously, Wilk was content strategist / mobile media manager at Panduit. Prior to Panduit, Tom was lead editor for Battelle Memorial Institute's Environmental Restoration team, and taught business and technical writing at Ohio State University for eight years. Tom holds a BA from the University of Illinois and an MA from Ohio State University.
Anna Townshend
Managing Editor
Anna Townshend has been a journalist and editor for almost 20 years. She joined Control Design and Plant Services as managing editor in June 2020. Previously, for more than 10 years, she was the editor of Marina Dock Age and International Dredging Review. In addition to writing and editing thousands of articles in her career, she has been an active speaker on industry panels and presentations, as well as host for the Tool Belt and Control Intelligence podcasts.
