Viega to open new $200 million manufacturing facility in Ohio

Viega has announced plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Shalersville, Ohio. The company, which specializes in press technology for metal pipe fittings and valves, will use the plant to produce its ProPress and MegaPress products. Viega will invest $200 million into the project and will build the new plant on 80 acres of land. According to the company, the new 180,000-square-foot facility will be completely carbon neutral from the start, and operation is expected to begin in 2025.

In a recent quote, Markus Brettschneider, CEO and President of Viega LLC, said, "This is an exciting time at Viega, as our growth continues to prompt the expansion of our North American footprint. This new facility in Ohio, along with recent investments in our existing Kansas facility, further supports our growing demand and is part of Viega's plan to increase North American production. We look forward to expanding our presence in this part of the country to further support our customers."
