Pipe manufacturer to invest $80 million into new Kansas plant

The cast iron and plastic pipe manufacturer will invest $80 million into the project, generating 50 new full-time jobs in the process.

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company has announced plans to build a new manufacturing facility in Maize, Kansas. The cast iron and plastic pipe manufacturer will invest $80 million into the project, generating 50 new full-time jobs in the process. Construction on the new 134,000-square-foot plant will begin in January 2024 with an estimated completion date of early 2025.

In a recent quote, Hooper Hardison, CEO of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company, said, “We are very excited about the opportunity to expand our operations in the Midwest. Maize is ideally located in the center of the country to help us better serve our customers. It is also a fast-growing, business-friendly community with an excellent workforce we can draw from to staff our new plant.”
