Grillo’s Pickles has announced plans to build a food manufacturing facility in Taylorsville, Indiana. The company, which produces refrigerated pickles, is investing $54 million in the project and will create up to 150 new jobs.
The 155,000-square-foot facility will sit near I-65 in northern Bartholomew County, adjacent to a 300,000-square-foot bakery facility for King’s Hawaiian, another Irresistible Foods Group (IFG) brand. Local government support includes up to $3.7 million in infrastructure upgrades and a 10-year property tax phase-in valued at approximately $1.2 million. Additionally, the State of Indiana has committed up to $1.4 million in performance-based tax credits and regional leaders have approved up to $1 million from the READI 2.0 program to fund road improvements supporting the project site.
