Guardian Bikes invests $19M to launch bicycle frame manufacturing facility in Indiana
Guardian Bikes has announced plans to launch a large-scale bicycle frame manufacturing facility in Seymour, Indiana. The company, which designs and sells bikes for children through a direct-to-consumer model, is investing $19 million into the project in collaboration with JPMorganChase.
The Seymour facility will be part of Guardian’s advanced manufacturing hub and aims to bring frame production back to the U.S. after decades of offshoring. Using domestic steel and aluminum, the plant will feature robotic welding systems, advanced laser-cutting equipment, and a vertically integrated logistics model to efficiently produce bicycle frames. This move marks a significant step in reshoring bicycle manufacturing and creating high-skill jobs in the region.
