Balmoral Tanks invests $2M to open digester tank manufacturing facility in Ohio
Balmoral Tanks has announced plans to open a digester tank manufacturing facility in Northeast Ohio, expected to launch in summer 2025. The company, which produces digester tanks for anaerobic digestion plants, is investing approximately $2 million into the new U.S. facility and plans to employ around 20 team members.
The facility will exclusively manufacture epoxy-coated steel tanks using Balmoral’s proprietary efusion coating process. These tanks are used in anaerobic digestion, where organic matter such as animal and food waste is broken down in oxygen-free environments to produce biogas.
This new location marks Balmoral Tanks’ third operations site, adding to its existing facilities in England and Wales. Producing tanks domestically allows the company to enhance customer relationships in the U.S., reduce shipping costs, and better meet rising demand in the growing biogas sector.
