Kimberly-Clark invests $2B to build and expand personal care product manufacturing facilities in Ohio and South Carolina
Kimberly-Clark Corporation has announced plans to invest over $2 billion to build a new manufacturing facility in Warren, Ohio, and expand its operations in Beech Island, South Carolina. The company, which produces well-known consumer products such as Huggies diapers, Kleenex tissue, and Cottonelle bath tissue, is investing in projects expected to create more than 900 new jobs in industrial automation and advanced manufacturing.
The new facility in Warren will span over one million square feet and is designed to support growth in Kimberly-Clark’s personal care product categories. It will employ proprietary technologies to develop next-generation products through innovations in materials, engineering, and manufacturing processes. The Beech Island expansion includes the addition of a new regional distribution center adjacent to its existing site, incorporating robotics, AI-powered logistics, and high-density automated storage to increase direct shipping capabilities and improve overall operational efficiency.
