PCC GulfChem invests $540M to open chemical manufacturing plant in Mississippi

PCC GulfChem will co-locate operations with The Chemours Company to produce chlorine and several downstream products.

PCC GulfChem Corporation has announced plans to begin manufacturing operations in DeLisle, Mississippi. The company, which is a subsidiary of the holding company PCC SE and a manufacturer of chemical feedstocks and specialty chemicals, silicon and silicon derivatives, will invest $540 million into the project, generating 84 new jobs in the process. According to the company, PCC GulfChem will co-locate operations with The Chemours Company to produce chlorine and several downstream products at the Chemours DeLisle Plant. Operations at the new facility are expected to begin in 2028. To help support the project, the Mississippi Development Authority will provide aid through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program.
