Siemens Canada invests $14 million to modernize Quebec manufacturing plant

The update will include expanded production of made-to-order product lines.

Siemens Canada has announced plans to modernize its manufacturing plant in Drummondville, Quebec. The technology company will invest $14 million into the multi-phased project to improve efficiency and capacity at the 10,400-suare-meter facility. The update will include expanded production of made-to-order product lines, including switchboards, powerpanels and panelboards; increased automation; a revised layout of shop floor machinery; and other manufacturing improvements. Additionally, the company hopes to increase the facility’s workforce by 15% by 2027.
