IKO to build $45 million insulation manufacturing plant in Canada

Construction on the new plant will begin in 2024, with production beginning in 2025. 

IKO has announced plans to build a new manufacturing facility in Brantford, Ontario. The company, which specializes in roofing, waterproofing and insulation, will invest $45 million into the project, creating 30 new jobs for the surrounding area. The facility will produce extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation and will serve customers in Canada and the northeastern United States. Construction on the new plant will begin in 2024, with production beginning in 2025. 

In a recent quote, Yekutiel Koschitzky, XPS General Manager and Product Innovation Manager for IKO, said, "It's an exciting project for us as we will be able to expand our product offerings in a new direction for our customers. IKO continues to invest in its business and technology at a level that exceeds its competition, and we're proud to continue to expand within Ontario as well. The future for both IKO and the Canadian manufacturing sector is very bright."
