Food packaging manufacturer invests $50 million to build new facility in West Virginia

Treplar has announced plans to build a new food packaging facility in Berkeley County, West Virginia. A joint venture between Klarpet of Turkey and Triton International Enterprises of the USA, Treplar will invest $50 million into the project, generating 600 new jobs in the process. The company primarily focuses on producing sustainable and environmentally friendly food packaging solutions and is testing a new generation of food packaging material that is 100% home compostable.

In a recent quote, Treplar President Murat Ogulcan said, "We are thrilled to announce the establishment of Treplar's investment in Berkeley County. This venture exemplifies our commitment to producing sustainable and eco-friendly packaging materials and addressing critical waste challenges for the retail food industry. Together, with the great state of West Virginia, we aim to revolutionize the industry and set new benchmarks for sustainability."
