Augury has released its latest report, “The State of Production Health 2023.” The survey is designed to identify challenges, trends, and best practice in the manufacturing industry as companies try to balance the demands of profits, people, and the planet. According to the survey results, only 22% of executives are optimistic about the future of the industry, but 80% of respondents say technology adoption will positively impact workforce upskilling efforts. Other key survey findings included:
- 63% of manufacturers plant to increase AI spending
- 70% of respondents are able to reach their full production potential, bust struggle with unplanned downtime
- 40% of manufacturers are using AI to improve production health
In a recent quote, Saar Yoskovitz, Augury’s CEO and Co-Founder, said, “For over a decade, manufacturers worldwide set their sights on implementing digital, connected, and insight-driven strategies that would modernize manufacturing: Industry 4.0. Today, only a small percentage have reached those goals. And now, global trends–like supply chain disruptions, workforce issues, environmental crises and looming regulations–are forcing the industry to adopt technology faster than ever.”
