Fictiv has released the findings from its eighth-annual State of Manufacturing Report. Decisionmakers across the U.S. manufacturing sector were surveyed and their opinions on the industry were captured in the report, which was created in partnership with Dimensional Research. The report highlights leaders’ views on the economy, workforce shortages, and new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI). Key finding from the survey include:
- 93% of respondents are taking steps to address the skilled labor shortage
- 85% of companies are planning/have already implementing AI solutions, with 97% expecting AI to improve product development and manufacturing
- 49% of respondents are focusing on prioritizing new product innovation
