Michelin has announced plans to improve operations at its Junction City, Kansas, facility. The company will invest $100 million over the next five years to increase production capacity at the plant, which manufactures Camso agricultural rubber tracks. This expansion will also create 200 new jobs. Camso, one of Michelin’s brands, specializes in off-highway vehicle products, including off-road tires, rubber tracks and systems for various industries.
In a recent quote, Alexis Garcin, president and CEO of Michelin North America, Inc., said, “At Michelin, we are proud to partner with our customers who are meeting the challenge of feeding the world more efficiently while protecting the environment. “This investment in agricultural tracks capacity is further evidence of our commitment to bring Michelin’s all-sustainable strategy to life in North America, positioning the company as a leader in this fast-growing market segment and creating careers that will benefit 200 families in the community.”
