The workers have been on strike since May 2, 2022.
Union workers at two CNH Industrial facilities have voted down the company’s "last, best and final" proposed contract. The workers have been on strike since May 2, 2022. Nick Guernsey, President of UAW Local 807, told KWQC-TV Iowa that the vote was split 45% to 55%. Racine County Eye reports that CNH representatives were “disappointed and confirmed operations would continue at its Burlington, Iowa, and Mount Pleasant locations.” According to Reuters, the four-year deal included wage increases of 25% to 38%, but workers claimed the contract did not account for increasing inflation or offer other benefits such as additional time off or improved healthcare.
