A next generation of foam-in-place technology (FIP) has been introduced by Pregis LLC, a North American leader in protective packaging solutions.

Maxwell, the new intelligent interface, has been engineered to empower users of Pregis' IntelliPack SmartBagger FIP system. Maxwell takes the guess work out of the FIP bagging operation by providing a robust, end-user experience with the touch of a finger.
This includes a personalized touchscreen to meet specific company objectives and virtually unlimited barcoding. Users also have the option to add instructional photos and videos to facilitate correct placement of FIP bags for the specific product being packaged.

Several new "smart" features have been designed to increase productivity and expand control of packing standards, material usage, cost management and training. Additional capabilities include:

  • Touchscreen personalization to meet diverse needs
  • Customization of access levels (operator, manager, service techs)
  • Detailed material consumption reports (from one machine or multiple)
  • Unlimited number of preset and page options
