Coastal Ready Mix to launch $4.6 million concrete factory in South Carolina
Coastal Read Mix, a company that manufactures ready-mix concrete, announced December 11 it would spend $4.6 million on a new factory in Conway, South Carolina. The investment will reportedly create 19 new manufacturing jobs, and the factory is expected to begin production sometime this year.
In a company statement, Coastal Ready Mix CEO Scott Askins called the expansion a “blessing.”
According to local news site ABC 15, Coastal Ready Mix is owned by Scott and Zach Askins. The group was founded in 1939 and operates largely in the Carolinas.
