Anatolia Cabinet and Millwork, in a joint statement with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and the governor, announced it had selected Baxter, Tennessee as the location of its next, $9.6 million cabinet factory. According to the joint release, the Baxter site will employ 56 and include the state’s first “AI-integrated production system” for cabinetry millwork.

In statements, Tennessee state officials touted the benefits of 60 new jobs in the Baxter area, about 60 miles east of Nashville, crediting the site’s selection to Tennessee’s “strong business climate and hard-working people.” Despite the new announcement, Anatolia Cabinet and Millwork owner Temel Islamogu said he’d selected Baxter for Anatolia’s first factory four years ago.

What people are saying

“Today’s announcement underscores our commitment to supporting growth and opportunity across rural Tennessee,” said Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee. “The creation of nearly 60 new jobs will be transformative for the Putnam County community, and I thank Anatolia Cabinet and Millwork for selecting Baxter, Tennessee as its first location.”

“When companies choose Tennessee, it’s a clear vote of confidence in our business-friendly climate and talented workforce. We are proud to celebrate new jobs and investment in Putnam County and are thrilled that Anatolia Cabinet and Millwork’s facility will be the state’s first to utilize AI-integrated production technology, demonstrating how advanced innovation is transforming manufacturing right here in Tennessee,” said Deputy Governor and TNECD Commissioner Stuart McWhorter.

“Four years ago, I made the decision to pursue a new investment – a fully automated, AI-driven cabinet and millwork manufacturing facility in the City of Baxter, Tennessee,” said Temel Islamogu, owner of Anatolia Cabinet and Millwork. “We believe this project will bring meaningful economic and technological benefits to Baxter and the surrounding communities. We are proud and excited to open this facility in Putnam County and look forward to becoming an active partner in the community’s continued growth and innovation.”
