Sims-Lohman announced September 29 it had purchased a 65,000-square-foot location in Crestview County, Florida, for an undisclosed price. The new site on the Florida panhandle is close to nearby Bob Sikes airport and will serve as the company’s Gulf Coast headquarters. Once fully operational, the Cincinnati-based furniture maker says the new location will employ 90 people for regional distribution.

According to a company statement, the One Okaloosa Economic Development Committee helped search for the new facility.

The new headquarters is the latest of the company’s Gulf Coast purchases, including a number of other furniture companies: Linn’s Prestige Kitchens and Baths, Kay’s Prestige Kitchens and Baths, and The Legacy Cabinet Company.

What people are saying

“This new facility represents a major milestone in our growth strategy,” said CEO John Beiersdorfer. “By expanding our footprint along the Gulf Coast, we’re not only investing in operational efficiency—we’re investing in the local community. We’re proud to bring new jobs and long-term opportunity to the region.”

“Okaloosa County welcomes Sims-Lohman to our community and the efforts they are taking to help bring jobs to the area,” said Okaloosa County Board Chairman Paul Mixon. “We look forward to their success and the opportunities they will create for our residents.”

“Over the past 16 months we have been working with Sims-Lohman, we’ve found them to be a top notch organization that cares deeply about doing things the right way. We are especially excited about their track record of supporting the communities they call home and know they will be a great addition to Crestview and Okaloosa County,” said Nathan Sparks, Executive Director, One Okaloosa EDC.
