Kerry Group invests multi-million dollars to open coffee ingredient manufacturing plant in Pennsylvania
Kerry Group, a global food and beverage company, has plans to open a manufacturing plant in Hanover Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. The company, which produces natural food and beverage ingredients, is investing a multi-million-dollar sum into the project, which will create 61 new jobs and retain 16 employees from the building’s previous operator.
The facility will focus on coffee roasting and extraction, producing all-natural coffee ingredients for multiple markets. Kerry Group is leasing a building that previously housed the Martin Bauer Group, another beverage manufacturer. The company will implement advanced production technologies to enhance efficiency and support growing customer demand for sustainable and natural products.
The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development is providing $316,880 through the Pennsylvania First grant program and $200,000 in WEDnetPA funding for workforce training. Kerry Group has also been encouraged to apply for the Manufacturing Tax Credit Program for additional tax incentives. The state’s financial support will help accelerate the operation’s ramp-up and future expansion plans.
