Stow Group announced September 2 it would spend $36 million to expand a production facility in Gordon County, Georgia. According to a company release, the expansion will add 240,000 square feet to the existing building and add 200 new jobs in office work as well as profiling, stamping, welding, powder coating, automation and assembly.
Stow Group is a Belgian company currently expanding into the U.S. that makes industrial racking and warehousing supplies.
The release indicates Stow expects the expanded facility to start operations in 2026, but local newspaper the Rome News-Tribune reports Stow Group CEO Jos De Vuyst hopes to see the factory producing finished goods as early as April.
