Nefab announced September 4 it has opened a new factory in Braselton, Georgia, for producing industrial packaging. In a release, the packaging and logistics company said the $9.5 million plant will create 30 new manufacturing jobs.

The new Southeast Hub site, a replacement for Nefab’s Norcross factory, will allow for additional production capacity compared to the old site and triple the footprint. Workers there will produce wood and plywood crates, corrugated packages and foam cushions for the automotive industry and others.

The new factory also comes with new features aimed at conserving energy, including vehicle charging stations and electric production equipment.

“This investment reflects both our confidence in the Southeast market and our commitment to building local capacity,” said Patric Vestlund, Executive VP of Nefab’s Americas division. “We designed this facility to combine global best practices with the speed and flexibility our customers need here in the US.”

“This site brings together our people, production, and technology in a way that helps us work more efficiently to support customer demand,” said Robert Skinner, Managing Director Southeast at Nefab. “Braselton’s strong logistics network and thriving business community make it an ideal base for our continued growth.”
