Butting invests $61M to build stainless steel pipe manufacturing facility in Alabama
Butting has announced plans to build its North American headquarters and first U.S. production facility in Loxley, Alabama. The company, which manufactures stainless steel pipe, clad pipe, custom spools and components, and cryogenic pipe systems, is investing $61 million in the project, which will create up to 100 new jobs with wages above the Baldwin County average.
The facility will be constructed on more than 50 acres in the Loxley industrial corridor and developed in two phases. Phase 1 will include headquarters and engineering functions, as well as fabrication of stainless steel spools, components, and cryogenic pipe systems. Phase 2 will expand production capabilities with the addition of two stainless steel welded pipe mills and enhanced cryogenic product manufacturing.
The official groundbreaking for Phase 1 is expected in Fall 2025, with construction and hiring to begin in the coming weeks.
