The new site brings nearly 350 employees together under one roof to support growth in the North American market.

Munters, a producer of climate control solutions, has opened a new manufacturing facility for desiccant humidification products in Amesbury, Massachusetts. The company, which provides energy-efficient air treatment and climate solutions, invested in the 430,000-square-foot facility to support its long-term growth strategy and created nearly 350 new jobs in operations, R&D, sales, service, and administration.

Located on a sizable campus, the facility increases production capacity and enhances workflow efficiency to better serve demand across North America. It also integrates the company’s service business and features new technologies aimed at improving sustainability. These include electrified processes and equipment, significant energy efficiency upgrades, and a rooftop solar array powered by renewable electricity.

What people are saying

In a recent quote, Henrik Teiwik, President of the AirTech business area, Munters, said, “I am very pleased that the facility is in place. The inauguration is an important step in our long-term growth strategy and climate ambitions, where we are investing in regional production for regional markets. The facility in Amesbury is proof of that strategy, and with it, we will better meet the needs of the American market.”

Andrew Cook, Senior Vice President Americas, AirTech business area, added, “We set out to design and build a new facility that would be an enhanced environment for our employees, be attractive for new talent, and better for our business overall. We’re very proud of this facility, and we couldn’t have accomplished it without the support from the City of Amesbury. We could not have chosen a better location.”
