HEYCO-Werk USA Inc. has announced plans to open a new manufacturing plant in Gaston County, North Carolina. The company, a plastics injection molder for the automotive industry, will invest $12.75 million into the project, creating 34 new jobs for the surrounding area. The new 10-acre site will feature a 65,000-square-foot production facility and show room. HEYCO will receive a $75,000 performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund to help support the new plant. The project will also receive additional funding from the North Carolina Community College System, Commerce’s Division of Workforce Solutions, and Gaston County.
