Boeing has plans to add a new 737 Max production line at its Everett, Washington, facility in 2024. According to Reuters, the announcement came from Boeing Commercial Airplanes Chief Executive Stan Deal in an email to employees, citing "strong product demand" as the reason for the decision. Boeing also plans to reactivate its third 737 Max line at its Renton plant.
CNBC is reporting that Boeing is currently producing 31 737 Max jets a month and plans to increase to 50 jets a month over the next four years. To accommodate this additional production, the company hopes to hire an additional 10,000 workers in 2023.
