CAGI Data Sheets Provide Apples-to-Apples Compressed Air Comparison

Sept. 18, 2022
Comparing compressed performance across different manufacturers has long been a difficult task. For years, it was easy to present data that was accurate but potentially misleading.
Comparing compressed performance across different manufacturers has long been a difficult task. For years, it was easy to present data that was accurate but potentially misleading. Manufacturers were sometimes selective about the information they published and the conditions they used to specify performance. This resulted in a numbers game the buyer frequently lost.

Fortunately, the Compressed Air and Gas Institute (CAGI) and its members developed a tool for fair comparison of compressors. CAGI, a not-for-profit organization of competitive companies that manufacture air and gas compressors, offer data sheets that educate buyers on effectiveness, safety, and energy efficiency. This white paper explains how the data sheets work.
