Sentio’s expansion will increase its domestic manufacturing capacity for generic medicines, including APIs and key starting materials.

Sentio BioSciences has announced plans to expand its pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The company, which produces new and generic drugs, has invested more than $10.6 million into the project and is creating 58 new jobs.

The expansion will increase Sentio’s manufacturing capacity for essential generic medicines, including key starting materials, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), and drug products. The new manufacturing space is set to open in 2026 and will also support contract development and manufacturing services for both emerging and established life sciences companies across Missouri and the U.S. Sentio’s facilities emphasize quality, safety, and on-time delivery, and the company recently earned OSHA’s SHARP certification, recognizing its excellence in worksite safety and health. The project is supported by the Missouri Works program, which provides access to capital through withholdings or tax credits tied to job creation.
