SJ Incorporation has announced plans to open a medical manufacturing facility in Cascade, Maryland. The company, which produces medicine and medical device components, is investing in a 35,000-square-foot operation at 24930 Reservoir Road in Fort Ritchie. The project is expected to create 300 new full-time jobs over the next four years.
The new facility will serve both domestic and international markets and support the company’s mission to provide affordable and accessible healthcare products. SJ Incorporation operates globally, with offices in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
To support the project, Washington County is offering a $100,000 conditional loan, and the Maryland Department of Commerce is considering a $1,000,000 conditional loan through Advantage Maryland. SJ Incorporation is also eligible for the Job Creation Tax Credit and the One Maryland Tax Credit programs.
