Ice Industries invests $6M to open manufacturing facility in Louisiana to support solar supply chain

The new 150,000-square-foot facility is expected to be operational in 2025 and will focus on roll forming steel back rails for photovoltaic (PV) solar panels.  

Ice Industries Holdings, Inc. has announced plans to open a new manufacturing facility in Lacassine, Louisiana. The company will invest $6 million into the project, creating 70 new jobs for the surrounding area. The new 150,000-square-foot facility is expected to be operational in 2025 and will focus on roll forming steel back rails for photovoltaic (PV) solar panels.  

To help aid the project, Ice Industries will apply for several economic incentives, including the Quality Jobs Program, the Louisiana Economic Development (LED) FastStart for assistance with recruiting and training, the Economic Development Award Program, and the Industrial Tax Exemption Program.
