An OSHA investigation has determined that CJ TMI Manufacturing America LLC exposed workers to lockout/tagout hazards. The company, which produces frozen dumplings, wontons and noodles for the Twin Marquis and Chef One brands, has a long history of violating health and safety standards. The food manufacturer has been investigated six times in the past five years and has been in the agency’s Severe Violator Enforcement Program since 2021. This most recent OSHA investigation began after a worker suffered an amputation last year. The company was cited for four willful, one repeat, and three serious violations, and faces $551,719 in penalties.
In a recent quote, OSHA Area Director Paula Dixon-Roderick said, “This company continues to leave its workers vulnerable to hazardous conditions that threaten their safety. These hazards must be addressed immediately to prevent another incident.”
