Adhesive manufacturer invests $30 million to build first U.S. facility in Tennessee

The Tennessee facility will produce thermal adhesives and battery compression pads for electric vehicle battery manufacturers.

Unitech North America, LLC has announced plans to open its first U.S. facility in Morrison, Tennessee. The company, which specializes in adhesives and sealants, will invest $30 million into the project, creating 75 new jobs during phase one. According to the company, the Tennessee facility will produce thermal adhesives and battery compression pads for electric vehicle battery manufacturers. The plant will also manufacture industrial adhesives and sealers for its automotive customers.

In a recent quote, Seoungho Lee, chairman, Unitech Co., Ltd., said, “It is with great enthusiasm that Unitech joins the Morrison, Tennessee community. We deeply appreciate the warm welcome and the pro-business environment that Tennessee offers. Our new facility here marks a significant milestone for Unitech as we venture into the high-tech electric vehicle and automotive sectors with our specialized solutions. We are confident that this strategic expansion will not only fuel our growth but also contribute to the local economy.”
