Stave company to spend $30 million to build new mill in Tennessee

American Stave Company, a subsidiary of Independent Stave Company, has announced plans to build a new stave mill in Rickman, Tennessee. The new mill will be the company’s eleventh facility in the U.S. and is expected to generate 85 new jobs. The company will invest $30 million into the project.

In a recent quote, Brad Boswell, CEO of Independent Stave Company, said, “We are excited to expand our domestic stave mill operations. This new facility in Rickman, Tennessee, will allow us to increase our wood supply in support of our customers and the growth of the industry. Rickman is an ideal location for our eleventh stave mill with the available skilled workforce as well as the surrounding forests known for cooperage quality white oak.”
