Halton has announced plans to expand its Scottsville, Kentucky, plant. The company, which produces commercial kitchen ventilation and air distribution systems, will invest $7.4 million into the project, generating 60 new full-time jobs in the process. The expansion will add 50,000 square feet to Halton’s facility, creating room for additional research and development and space for new product lines. The project is expected to be completed in 2024.
In a recent quote, Mika Halttunen, chairman and owner of Halton Group, said, “Kentucky has been a great home for our U.S. operations for more than 30 years. We are excited to continue growing our team and facilities including setting up a new Innovation Hub and laboratory. This will enable us to provide the highest quality innovative air-handling products for the domestic U.S. commercial kitchen ventilation market and also to export those to rest of the Americas, Middle East and Asia Pacific.”
