Kordsa invests $50 million to expand operations in Tennessee

The $50 million investment will be used to expand the plant’s capacity to convert Nylon 66 yarn into tire cord fabric.

Kordsa, Inc., a company that produces environmentally friendly products for the tire industry, will increase operations at its Chattanooga, Tennessee, facility. The $50 million investment will be used to expand the plant’s capacity to convert Nylon 66 yarn into tire cord fabric. Currently, the yarn is shipped to North Carolina where it is turned into tire cord fabric and then sold to tire manufacturers. The project will also create 200 new jobs.
