Instead of building from scratch, Bri-Steel has purchased a 329,000-square-foot facility which used to belong to GEFCO.

Bri-Steel Manufacturing will establish its second thermal pipe expansion mill in Enid, Oklahoma. Instead of building from scratch, Bri-Steel has purchased a 329,000-square-foot facility which used to belong to GEFCO. According to Bri-Steel, the plant, which sits on over 43 acres of land, offers the company enough room for future growth and expansion. Seamless pipe will be manufactured at the new plant in sizes ranging from 12-36 inches in wall thickness up to 3 inches. The project should be completed by the end of the year, and the facility will create 50 to 100 new jobs.

In a recent quote, Neil Rasmussen, president of Bri-Steel, said, "We have had such positive feedback from the people in Enid, and the State officials have been excellent to deal with. We are excited to bring back 12" and larger seamless pipe manufacturing to the USA and to fill the void left behind by US Steel. This is a true Southern Expansion!"
