With this decision, Intel hopes to keep its manufacturing workforce while trimming the budget. Intel had warned employees a few months ago that cost-cutting measures, including layoffs, would be happening next year. The Oregonian reports that Intel needs to save $3 billion in 2023 and even more in the future.
