The cover story in the September issue of Plant Services magazine is going to be discussing electrical distribution systems in industrial plants. The general idea is that we'll contact several knowledgeable people in the industry to ask their opinions on a range of topics relevant to the maintenance and engineering functions in those plants. The topics could include such concepts as diagnostics, upgrades, codes and safety, energy reduction strategies and so on.
We’re now developing a set of what we think will be probing questions, but we’re thinking that it might be more useful to maintenance practitioners if they had the opportunity to ask their own questions that stem from real-life problems or concerns that are important to them right now.
So, we’re asking practitioners out there to add a comment to this blog and lay out some hardball questions that we could include in our own list. We think the resulting article will be more useful and powerful that way.
Your name won’t be published unless you give us explicit permission to do so. You’ve seen the phrase “name withheld by request.” We take that idea seriously.
So, let us know what’s bothering you about the electrical distribution system in your plant or facility. We’ll get you an answer.
Go ahead, call my bluff.
