Video: Example of how teachers should approach STEM

July 8, 2014

Even a teacher whose career goes back 19 years happily admitted that she learned new teaching methods at Richfield STEM School’s “Make It Move” Event.

Richfield STEM School is a good example of what all schools should be aiming for: STEM certification for the teachers. They aimed to have all their teachers certified by fall of 2013. As the teachers were going through that process, they put on a community “Make It Move” event where the teachers each had stations where the kids could see technology, math, science and engineering at work. It is clear that their objective to get children interested in STEM worked: many of the students screamed out of enjoyment during one of the experiments in the video.
