Make your own spot welder for less than $25

Aug. 31, 2017

With the right skills and components, you can construct your own spot welder for a fraction of the price.

I would love to add a spot welder to my ever-expanding collection of tools but I, like many DIYers, don't have the funds to invest in such a specialized tool. But with the right skills and components, you can construct your own spot welder for a fraction of the price. Darek from the YouTube channel Made in Poland DIYed his own spot welder using little more than a microwave transformer, a door hinge, welding cable, and aluminum tubing. Sounds like the perfect weekend project.
