Science meets art: See-through suppressors educate and inspire

Watching the inner workings of a machine or tool can be an awe-inspiring experience, especially when viewed in slow motion. Add a controlled explosion into the mix, and the results are breathtaking and surprisingly educational. Destin from YouTube channel Smarter Every Day and Steve from Soteria, a company that makes firearms and suppressors, recently teamed up to create and test a series of see-through suppressors with cast acrylic casings, which feature a strength of 8,000 PSI. Not all of their test runs were successful, but even the failures were beautiful.
