I simply adore an intricate wood inlay. Inlay, when done correctly, has the unique ability to take the boring and ordinary to the realm of the extraordinary. Once I figure out how to use my router (yet another impulsive tool purchase), I'll be adding inlay to tabletops, picture frames, and anything else that will sit still. And while the traditional pairing of light and dark wood inlay will always be a classic, if you're searching for a unique or modern spin on a traditional element, try exploring these four unique inlay materials.
