In a recent video, YouTuber the Hacksmith demonstrates how to build a working, 4,000° F lightsaber. Please don’t try this at home.

I don’t always dress up for Halloween, but when I do, I go to great lengths to make sure that I have the most accurate, most impressive costume possible. I don’t believe in store-bought costumes, which often trade authenticity and attention to detail for cheap materials and a reasonable price point. It takes me months to research the inspiration for my costume, devise a plan, draw patterns, gather the necessary supplies, and execute my vision. But when my creation is complete, there is no costume contest I can’t win. If you’re a costume purist like me and you’re thinking about donning the robes of a Jedi this All Hallows' Eve, have I got the accessory for you. Complete your movie-accurate costume with a retractable, real-world lightsaber. In a recent video, YouTuber the Hacksmith demonstrates how to build a working, 4,000° F lightsaber. Please don’t try this at home.
