ExperTune president receives Douglas H. Annin Award

John Gerry recognized for PID tuning engine contributions
HUBERTUS, Wis. John Gerry, founder and president of Hubertus, Wis.-based ExperTune, received the Douglas H. Annin Award at ISA 2003 "in recognition of the contributions to the development of a PID tuning engine and its commercial applications."
Gerry has been guiding ExperTune's development of control loop optimization tools for the past 17 years. The company's software is installed in more than 6,000 plants worldwide.
The Douglas H. Annin Award, established in 1985, recognizes outstanding achievement in the design of development of components of an automatic control system from the input measurement through the final control element. It was made in honor of Douglas H. Annin, a pioneer in modern-day control valve actuation and control-valve body design.
