Women: Homemakers to STEM workers

Women are no longer bound to their homes as stay-at-home moms, and more women are willing and ready to have their own careers. So why don’t they choose a STEM career?

With only 11% of the population with a STEM degree and 30% of job openings in cities being STEM careers, it’s obvious that the not-so-secret remedy is to get more women into STEM jobs! The infographic shows that, “among women 18-34, 66% rate having a career as very high among their life priorities.” Women are made for more than just staying at home taking care of their children; they can be capable, task-oriented and successful STEM workers.
