Infographic: Why girls don’t pursue computer science

How come girls aren’t gung ho about computer science even though they match up to boys in every other STEM field?

Girls are shown to be just as interested as boys in STEM subjects, as the infographic says. But the reason is far more unjust than previously believed. Not only are girls being intimidated by boys because of their stereotypes, but girls also tend to be held back much easier because of their lack of correct information on the computer science career. As the infographic says, we need to motivate girls by giving them accurate information and a lot of encouragement.
