How the brain affects STEM abilities vs. creativity

Wondering if the brain has something to do with whether people have a natural ability for STEM or artistic fields? If you thought so, you are entirely correct. Read on to learn more.

STEM vs. STEAM isn’t as simple as gene distribution. Whether you like it or not, as the infographic shows we all have a creative side. As the infographic suggests, in order to get the most out of a STEM education it is important to emphasize those creative talents as well as the mathematical, logical talents. Obviously, most of the time our personalities tend to take us to one side of the brain more than the other, but to be well-rounded like the people listed at the bottom of the infographic (Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, etc.) it is critical to stretch yourself and learn what the opposite side of the brain has to offer.
