Gender Barriers in STEM careers

Girls are speaking out about what they are looking for when it comes to a successful career: and STEM jobs may be a part of that.

“Percieved gender barriers are still high for girls and may help explain why STEM fields aren’t their top career choices.”

While this may be true, and girls may still feel intimidated by their opposite sex when it comes to following their dreams and getting a job in a STEM field, there is still so much hope. With numbers like “82% feel they’re smart enough to have careers in STEM fields,” girls are slowly breaking away from the past misconceptions about women in STEM jobs.
