Turn scrap metal into etched art in this DIY tutorial

Feb. 2, 2018

YouTuber The King of Random demonstrates how to use electricity and salt water to carve custom designs into steel.

During my previous life as an artist, I often created prints using etched metal plates. If only I had known that I could achieve the same results with a nine-volt battery and some salt water. In a recent video, YouTuber The King of Random demonstrates how to use electricity and salt water to carve custom designs into steel. Maybe it’s time to give my stainless-steel refrigerator a makeover.
